Funk up my junk 

In an exciting extension of the recent Grey Lynn 2030 sponsored Trash to Trade competition "Funk Up My Junk and The Floral Studio have announced that the recycled and re worked woodwork of Funk Up My Junk will now retail through The Floral Studio, Shop 2 , 29 Surrey Crescent Grey Lynn.

Buffie Mawhinney is the talented developer of recycled upcycled wood crafting it into book shelves, plant boxes, tear drop plant holders and other extraordinary stuff. These products are at the essence of the environmental sustainability movement taking discarded shelving, draws, cabinets etc and applying her creative talents to develop something extra ordinary and unique. Buffie  has a passion for hexagonal as these are nature‚Äôs way of making our lives more interesting and diverse. The woods used are Cedar Oak, Rimu and even Kauri from old art deco no longer in fashion.

We have a new Baby 

Congrats to Our head florist Natalie and her partner Shane on the arrival of their Son Cooper , If your lucky you might get some new born snuggles if Natalie is in the shop, she cant stay away ! ( on maternity leave till oct 2018 )

A few weeks ago we welcomed a new team member Shontei to our flower family , She has taken on a full time role and is the lovely face you will be welcomed by , Shontei has completed the New Zealand floristry course and is a Mum of 5 ! Pop into the shop and meet her

Twice featured in New Zealand's largest selling Bridal Magazine - "Bride and Groom" our designers are enjoying the very rustic minimalistic themes of many of this summers weddings. On trend with beautiful flower crowns accompanied by unstructured and wild bouquets. Come and discuss with Natalie - a young professionally talented and recognised flower designer.

School Balls 

School ball season will be in full swing during the winter months and we will be donating 10% of the cost of any purchase to the school of your choice. At The Floral Studio we see ourselves as part of the community and consider as a responsible business it is fair to support our schools and education of our children.

Its a real privilege to be associated again with Starjam www.starjam.org.nz in their major fundraising event for the year. This amazing charity stretches the talents of disable children to achieve their amazing potentials. We will be providing table ecorations, BQ's and participate in the silent auction raising valuable funds for this organisation.
